An accident at one of the power units of Moldavskaya GRES, a critical regional electricity supplier, prompted temporary disruptions to power services for some areas of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic (PMR) on January 22, according to the Ministry of Economic Development.
The ministry reported via its Telegram channel that during emergency procedures to resolve the incident and restart the affected unit, electricity supply in certain regions experienced a brief interruption.
Responsible energy services have initiated urgent repairs, and electricity from Moldavskaya GRES resumed for the region following these efforts. Consumers are now being gradually reconnected to the power network.
