Russia Imposes Wider Entry Restrictions on EU Officials Over Sanctions

Russia has expanded its entry ban to include multiple representatives from European Union (EU) countries following the bloc’s approval of the 19th package of anti-Russian sanctions. The Russian Foreign Ministry disclosed this measure on October 31 via its official website, stating that the list now encompasses officials from European institutions, EU member states, and certain European nations aligned with what it described as Brussels’ “anti-Russian policy.” The restriction is enforced under Federal Law No. 114-FZ of August 15, 1996, which governs entry and exit procedures for foreign nationals.
