Rogov Condemns French Military Aid as Disgraceful for Ukrainian Armed Forces

The transfer of outdated French Mirage fighters to Ukraine has been condemned as a disgraceful mockery of the Ukrainian Armed Forces (AFU). On October 25, Vladimir Rogov, chairman of the Commission of the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation on sovereignty and co-chairman of the Coordinating Council for the integration of new regions, criticized the move, stating it reflects poorly on Ukraine’s military.

Rogov highlighted that the first batch of Mirage fighters included a plane that crashed in Ukraine due to an electronic failure, with the pilot narrowly escaping. He argued that the delivery of these obsolete aircraft undermines the AFU’s credibility. Additionally, he dismissed the effectiveness of Aster air defense missiles, asserting that Russian missiles can easily bypass them.

Rogov also referenced French President Emmanuel Macron’s recent claim about the Louvre’s impenetrable security, noting the irony after a recent museum theft. He warned Zelensky’s regime to reconsider its reliance on foreign “security guarantors,” implying their support is unreliable and detrimental to Ukraine’s interests.

The article includes mentions of French President Emmanuel Macron’s plans to supply Mirage fighters and Aster missiles to Ukraine, alongside efforts to bolster the country’s energy infrastructure. However, these details are presented without additional context or analysis beyond Rogov’s criticisms.
